OOC: NO SESSION LAST WEEK

In case anyone was wonder why I didn't update last week, it's because there was no game the previous week, sorry everyone...

Next week is not going to happen either, more or less I have to go make up lost work time, because of the illness that kept me from running last week...

Maryann's Journal Entry #5

((Journal Day 5))
Well it was a pretty ok day today. I don’t remember most of it really. I think I woke up, but I dunno. Oh, I did get to pig out on snacks and play videogames! So that was pretty fun. Tear and the others, eh, they do their own thing so I don’t really bother them at all. Except that new kid…I did kinda stalk him a bit before I got bored and went somewhere else.
Oh oh….there was this one minor issue. The next Angel appeared, and it was, awfully fast for a fat assed creature. It was too scary, especially cause I got so scared when I first layed eyes on it, that thing was just, unnatural, for an Angel. Luckily I was able to get over it though I felt ill still the entire time. They (NERV) made me take a nifty beam rifle this time. Which was kinda cool, I could see for days with that thing, but it was still kinda hard to use cause its so new. I felt rather useless still cause I missed a few times, and when I did hit, I didn’t do much to it, basically Tear and the new kid did most the cool work. What ever….Im going to go to sleep now….

Episode 5: The Lightning of God

It's name was Barbiel, the 4th angel. a flying insect, with arms that turned to projectile spikes, a mouth that shot block destroying lasers....

Like the angel that came before it, it died an inglorious death, not even lasting as long as it's predecessor, not even being able to say that it destroyed and Eva first.

The session started with all 4 pilots being deployed into combat, the VTOLS were long since being routed by the flying monster, it was truly a terror of the sky.

Once again, Only Maryann was unable to maintain control of her Fear, as it griped her sending her almost into a blind panic for Issac's Eva to hide behind, she mastered this fear swiftly and was only out of her wits for a few moments.

The other pilots charged the Angel, spreading there At fields in various fashions, Issac narrowly avoided an early defeat when the Angel blasted the Embarkation point with a powerful laser blast.

The angel, wasted precious moments smiling with mocking glee at the Evangelions, after-all how could these tiny creatures be a threat to it, even as Emil was raising his own AT field into the danger zone. Maryann being unable to get a proper bead on the angel, and failing to hit it, several times probably did not help the situation. Eventually the Angel grew board, and with a sickening cracking sound, extended it's clawed fingers, one spike tore through the head of Tear's Eva, almost "Killing it" Two more spiked ripped into Emil's torso, a 4th spike caused the head armor of Issac's Eva to shatter leaving only fragments of it's head armor.

This pushed the Pilots to the the limits of there anger, as part of the quickly devised and unspoken plan, Emil grabbed Tear and Hammer tossed her onto the the back of the Angel, this one act spelled the eventual death of the angel.

From this point, Tear did little but rip the angel apart, where Maryann would place a shot, Tear would capitalize, ripping one of it's arms off, mauling it's wing, Emil and Issac tried to stay involved in the battle, with Emil trying to propel Issac up there as well, but the Angel was a bit wiser by this point, and took steps to evade the monster, just out of reach of Tear's efforts to catch Issac before he made the long 800 meter drop back to the earth.

At the end of the day, Tear struck the killing blow, finally having enough of the Angel, she reared back and punched straight down claws first, tearing past the meat of it's torso and shattering it's protected and armored core in a single blow (in game the pilot inflicted about 23 damaged directly to the core with one insanely lucky damage roll), a blow so mighty that the angel's genetic structure fell apart in seconds....

Then Tear fell to the earth, suffering a few bumps and bruises like Issac had before her, but she was at the end of the day, fine.

It was a victory to be sure, and a stronger finish that the last battle, the 4th angel couldn't withstand the might of the Evangelions, and the pilots as a team proved it this day. Tear was praised by both Emil and Tyrone Johnson for her performance that day, but while tear may of fought like a demon during the battle, but outside of the Evangelion, she was still the shy little girl she always was.

Issac was quite silent for the rest of the day, He had seen the face of his Eva in the reflection of it's of the liquid fluids it was at rest in... and something.... happened that disturbed him...

After the mission, the pilots settled into there evening post Angel slaughter routine, Tear had gone out for a walk, and came across a man name Ryoji, who had an important package for Rachael, he didn't say what it was, but he had recognized her as a pilot.

So because it was clearly a package for Rachael, and she was still holding a grudge against Rachael for the prank Rachel played last session, she hid it under her bed... and then shoved Rachel's slippers into the garbage disposal while a somewhat amused Emil watched on.

The next morning, Rachel, after implying the severity one "could" be punished for hiding such important documents and actually threw words including "treason" out there managed to get Tear to Pony up the package, went and checked in on Issac, who was still deeply disturbed by what transpired in his plug the previous day. While Rachel went and started going over the files, Tear went out and Maryann and Emil enjoyed a game of Twister.... in there underwear... much to Rachel's displeasure.

Tear while out ran into Brad, significantly less goth, and sporting some crutches, they had a pleasant conversation and the bare bones of friendship were formed before they parted ways.

The session ended with Rachel pondering if it would be okay to tell the pilots about what she had found inside of the last angel...

Meanwhile, Hunter, Johnson, and Ryoji, bring the episode looking at a tube in an unknown location, watching a white haired young boy....

And the boy is opening his eyes.


((OOC: If Issac was the informal MVP of the first angel battle with his hammer, then the team of Emil and Tear would probably be seen as the MVPs of this round.

Emil for getting Tear up to the angel, and Tear for the absolutely balls out lunacy that just kept making the grapple dice work for her, keeping her on the Angels back for most of the fight untill the fatefull killing blow.

It was a fun fight to GM, but it left to many PC's on the sidelines, Issac frankly didn't get a chance to contribute to the fight, and Maryann and Emil, for there efforts were only set up for the one Eva they got up there, I learned a bit about how to set up angels in the future to give the pilots more to do during it honestly))

Maryann's Journal Entry #4

Not much happened today, well, sorta. We heard of some weirdo mercenary group, Blackwatch or what ever totally invaded Germany and wrecked their stuff. And on top of that they blew up a computer, with themselves! Crazy, right? Oh appearently we’re gonna be getting some new weapons soon. Thank GOD since our current crap is, well….crap. Yay! Ive been working on my shooting and stuff and hopefully I get a new rifle or something, anything that’s better than a pallet rifle.

Oh Oh, we got this new pilot today too. I think he’s Italian or something, I dunno, don’t really care actually. All I know is, he’s almost as good a dresser as me! Not sure if that’s good or bad, but I gotta say, he and Tank Boy make pretty good body guards, which thankfully I stalked the new kid when I did cause that hussy Tammy was there and she wanted to throw down and what not. To make it worse, she totally ruined my party dress! Its soooo awful! Now I have to go buy a new one, but they’ll prolly not even have it anymore.

Oh, haven’t heard from Julie in a while, I wonder whats up with her and that boyfriend of hers. They’re all acting awfully weird lately. Oh well, I got my crew and our Eva’s so yeah, that’s all we need to totally stomp the shit outa shit…and stuff.

Episode 4: New Blood

The episode opened up on the pilots at a local ice cream parlor with members of the RND team, who was celebrating the sudden influx of Data to there computers from the German computers, most of them didn't actually know what had occurred in Germany, much of the staff would never know..

The Pilots knew, Rachel had been keeping them informed. She had felt they deserved to know. There involvement at this little party was interrupted with a grand reveal, the Vatican, who had previously denied the Seattle branch a 4th pilot had relented.

By sending one of there own pilots to represent there interests at  Seattle. A Tacoma refugee, who was born in 2001, Emil Bieleski was hardly what the Seattle branch would of personally wanted, a Civilian, no military training, and a severe fanatical streak, believing he was chosen by god for this task, he was introduced to the staff almost a full day before his Evangelion was to arrive, it was only by sheer luck that the Seattle branch had an Evangelion cage set up for it (or was it fate?).

He was at least, on the surface, a very polite young man to the other pilots, Maryann had herself taken an early liking to the young red headed youth, after taken the time to get to know the other pilots, to differing degree's of success, he had left for the movie theater, Maryann got swiftly changed and followed Emil.

Emil was already at the theater dressed as an "Italian Pimp" when Maryann had arived, she didn't get much of a chance to speak to the new pilot however.

Tammy, a classmate, and the head cheerleader, who Maryann had previously blamed the theft of a classmates personal belongings (Maryann was the thief), had spotted Maryann, and a confrontation broke out. Tammy more or less called Maryann a bitch and threw a drink at her, staining her outfit, Emil was quick to leap to Maryann's aid, and seemed to of been ready to issue a certain degree of violence against the girl when she called him "Pimp-Boy"

While Emil distracted Tammy and her two male goons, Maryann called in their big guns, Issac walked into the theater shortly afterwards, having been driven there by Agents M and W, it didn't take long for Issac and Emil to notice that S2 agents in the arcade, was making there presence known, and was slowly but surely reaching for weapons. Thankfully Issac's reputation after his recent in class fight, defused the situation quickly, and the pilots were removed from the scene quickly by S2.

Meanwhile Tear had gone for a walk, and was being less than discretely being followed by S2, who was apparently just there to make sure she knew they were there.

The Next day, after Rachel broke her cooking curse over her knee, and deposited it's body in the dumpster with a breathtakingly amazing meal of  "Colorful Roast Beef and Spinach Pie topped with Broiled Walnut Pilaf", and a better than average breakfast the next morning, the pilots took the time to help RND choose out a focus of research for the installation, it was seen that it would be best for them to be involved since at the end of the day, they would be the ones using the weapons. They opted to start manufacturing prototypes of MASER based weapons, to cushon a weakness in there ability to fight at ranged...

The was for the best, as the pilots looked on at the New Evangelion, freshly delivered fro Emil, a terrible sight filled the sky's near Mount Rainier.

The next angel was on it's way, and this one was flying.

Side Story: End of a Fabled Tiger

I am personaly not thrilled with the teams failure to elimante Jericho or remove the Pilot from play, this could result in a counter attack if they descover who really sent the kill team in. I can not deny the results however, as the elimination of the Magi computers over at Germany Branch is a shockingly unexpected boon, send the rest of your men my congratulations once again Lucas -Hunter

((A bit of OCC, Here's a song that I was listening to that somehow, at least to me your mileage may vary, was a great song for this Team, I mean they literally blew themselves the fuck up to take out the German Magi units, that's badass.

Shit I'm willing to go on record and say this is probably the theme of this game ))

Tear's Journal Entry #3

    After the battle we had some kind of party in celebration of the death of the Angel,  Celebration that the Angel could be killed and Eva's were the weapon that could accomplish this.  Everyone was cheering and congratulating us.  I was very uncomfortable with all the attention and left as soon as i could.  The next few days were quite nice because we were kept out of school and were able to stay home. 

    Then something quite shocking occurred while I was watching TV.  There was video footage of our battle with the Angel!  Rachel totally freaked out.  Soon we were called into a briefing to determine what to do with the person who took the footage.  I simply suggested that we discredit him as a reliable source of information and put him in an institution.  However everyone else was insistent that he must be also killed.  They came up with this complicated plan about staging a fake terrorist attack and killing him in a bombing on a NERV facility.  Sigh, this was completely unnecessary and a waste of resources.  Also if the poor bastard had life insurance his family would loose it cause he died in a criminal action.  Whatever, no one really seems to care what I think anyway.

    Well we had to go back to school eventually.  It wasn't so bad, I guess I'm getting used to it somewhat.  So, one day one of the other students actually came up to me and started a conversation.  It was pointless small talk but it was kinda nice to interact with someone different, and Beary was with me so I was OK.  Apparently Issac didn't think it was though.  He confronted this kid and then proceeded to kick the crap out a him.  Although I was a bit annoyed by the interruption it was a treat to see Issac in action out of his Eva.  Although this has been an uneventful few weeks I was proud of myself for engaging in a conversation with a regular person and not just ignoring him.

Maryann's Journal Entry #3

Today was a good day, went out with some friends, seen a movie and ya know, just generally hang out and stuff. Though they were soo nosey, trying to ask where me and the rest of the pilots were. Luckily I gave them the slip. Oh oh, we had a test today, which I totally failed. What ever. I hate math anyway. OH oh, I didn’t really see it cause Julie was talkin my ear off, but Tank Boy totally mauled this weirdo gothic kid with the ceiling. It was like, so awesome, so I heard.


However, there was something else too. I went on my usual prowl while everyone was distracted. And guess what, I found a nice 1st Edition Sack Buddy, purple no less. Sad thing is….it was Julie’s. Guess it isn’t anymore. I got lucky though, Julie almost blamed me for it…but I got smart and layed the blame on Tammy, who, by the way, Im totally going to bring her down. That head cheerleading job will totally be mine and mine alone, MWAHAHA!


Er, yeah, anyway. Today was a pretty nice day. No Angel, no nothing. Oh, Im thinking about requesting gatling gun for my Eva. Do you think they’ll let me have one? I hope so. I mean, anything is better than a craptastic pallet rifle, right?

Episode 3: Politics of an Angelic War

((This post is admitting kinda late, I lost allot time this week due to illness, so here goes))

After the battle, Issac, Maryann, and Tear were all given the heroes treatment, there were pats on the back, and Nerv headquarters let out a joyous sigh of relief, the debriefing was more party than actual debriefing, with Johnson kinda half-assed a sort of debrief while food and alcohol was spread around....

But they realized... at the time they really didn't learn anything about the angels, except that they could die, and that there weapons were less than effective against them.

They needed the Research data from the Germany Branch... and they were holding out on them...

But after the briefing the pilots went off to perform some much needed downtime activities after the whirlwind day they had at that point. Issac went off to write up a report of the battle, and his thoughts on a command interface designed to allow him to command conventional forces from his Plug, which he described as being truly pathetic. Tear lurked in the background, seemingly fascinated by pilot Issac, though her reasons for this was left unknown, Issac heard from one of the "Bridge staffers" named Kyle Raynor, that the entire bridge staff deeply respected the pilots and that it was a "Privilege" to serve with him... Kyle wanted to tell Issac something else, but was cut off by Issac who warned Kyle about the "Repercussions" of discussing classified information with him.

 Because of the events, Command determined it would be best to have the pilots stay at home for the next several days, the days were slow and tedious, with each pilots committing to there various activities, Maryann spent time talking with a friend from school named Julie, who was the classic ditzy blonde preppy, and her her boyfriend Tom, both a Prep and a Jock. Tear spent allot of time watching TV, and Issac worked out for the most part, Two S2  agents, who were known only as "Agent M" a burly tank of a man, and "Agent W" a more outgoing and some-watt talkative Asian man, who would prove to be a rather good cook.

On the third night... Rachael didn't come home, it wouldn't be till the next day till she made .it home.  She found something inside of the angel, that deeply shocked and disturbed her, Maryann, tried to get out of her what she saw, but she was sworn to secrecy and wouldn't budge, but she did confide in the three pilots that talks with the Germany branch were breaking down, that they were actually holding out on the research data due to Rachael rejecting there pilot candidate, and only her immediate reassignment to the Seattle base (which due to the Vatican Treaty would require them to release one of the existing pilots) would appease them.

A frustrated Issac offered up suggestions, the one that stuck was to see if they could renegotiate the treaty to allow the 4th pilot to join them, The Vatican at one point was going to allow a 4th pilot to join there installation after all under the condition that they pilot would be one of there choosing.

Meanwhile... tear watching TV found herself stopping on a local news station, who had somehow managed to get footage from the angel attack and was broadcasting it over live television! there was much swearing as Rachael called the incident in, and after requesting, in a rare bout of anger from her that they "discredit or kill the person who filmed the battle", When Issac seriously favored Assassination, and Maryann jokingly backed him up (later to her horror when it was taken seriously), Rachael was quick to point out there support of the idea...

A decision would be held behind a close doors meeting, with the pilots involved, which ended up in a decision, to kill the cameraman, and blame the damage in the area, as a terrorist explosion, which Nerv was going to set off on there own property, but blamed on the cameraman. Once that was settled it was decided the Pilots would go back to school starting tomorrow. While Commander Hunter was present at this meeting, he added little to it.

In what had to of been by this point, must of been an (un)welcome change of pace, the kids were sent back to school the next day, the day was not without incident. Issac displayed a painful lack of good judgement, when a student named Brad, apparently the resident Goth kid, tried to make small talk with Tear, badmouthing Maryann for hanging out with the "Preppy rich kids" and discussing taste in music.

Well Issac didn't much care for this boy badmouthing a comrade, and he responded, first with an insult, calling Brad a "Smeer" (likely due to what Brad would become if he didn't back down), To which Brad, rather uncreativity, and unwisely called Issac a "Meat head"...

Brad's next experience was him hitting the ceiling, and then landing baddy on his knee, breaking it in the process. Which of course let to Issac being escorted from the class and directly two the principal's office. During the commotion, Maryann committed a second act of theft, this time against her friend Julie, Maryann, despite trying to resist the urge two, stole a first edition purple "Sack Baby" toy from Julies back, this would come back later to haunt her.

Meanwhile in the office, Rachael and Agent W, had made it there in record time to face the principal for Issac's actions, Both the S2 agent, and Rachael were of course rather pissed that Issac had shown such poor restraint during the day's actions. In the end, Rachel had made a substantial donation (the exact amount was unclear, lets just say "Enough") to allow Issac to stay in classes, but Rachael had promised Issac on the spot there would be repercussions for what he did, either way, Issac, to the shock (and awe) of all involved, was back in class after only two hours.

So, while everyone was hyped up, and highly distracted by the turn of events, had to suffer through another of Mr Phelps now infamous pop-quiz's. While Issac performed well, far better than his first performance, Maryann and Tear's lack of study time showed up in force, Tear had barely scraped by with a "D", and Maryann failed and was asked to stay behind after class for a few minutes.

After school, like Promised, Issac had punishment handed down for his failure to show restraint during his day, and was directly ordered to not go to the Gym to work out for a week, a mild punishment overall, but one that time will tell if it had any impact on the pilot.

The next morning, Rachel was up before the Pilots, and after talking to Issac, revealed something she had just learned... Talks with the German Branch broke down... and they were going to send a Strike Team in to Take the Research data by force.

NEXT EPISODE: Can Strike Team Wolf  get the all important research data from the German Nerv Branch? Or will this only spell the beginning of a Civil War Within NERV? Watch this blog for the results of the first Side story episode "The Raid on NERV Germany!"
